Secret Warriors #1-8 (Ongoing)

The are a fictional Marvel Comics superhero team formed and headed by the ageless, unflappable Nick Fury. Created by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, the characters were introduced in the Marvel storyline issue of , and debuted as a team in , both published in 2008. On February 4, 2009, the team was launched in their own ongoing series. This series is co-plotted by Bendis with Jonathan Hickman writing and is one of the titles launched as part of the Dark Reign storyline. Current issue #8 is part 2 of the 4-part story arc, "God of Fear, God of War."

Nick Fury and a long-dormant spy now reactivated continue their top secret mission while the kids get in way over their heads as they go up against members of the Dark Avengers and the Thunderbolts…and while no one else is looking, HYDRA’s grand plans continue to unfold.
