Description
Dean Deakyne Presents: The Ultimate Damaged Robot Production Pipeline TutorialElevate your 3D art skills with Dean Deakyne’s comprehensive Damaged Robot Production Pipeline Tutorial. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this step-by-step course will guide you through transforming a low poly Robot Mech Vehicle into a production-ready masterpiece using industry-standard 3D painting workflows. Why You Need This Course:Beginner-Friendly: Perfect for those new to 3D painting or looking to solidify their foundation.Advanced Techniques: Experienced artists will discover new methods to enhance their workflow and produce stunning results.Comprehensive Learning: With over 12 hours of content split into 63 concise videos, this course ensures you master every aspect of 3D character painting. What You will learn:Chapter 01: Is a model overview of how I prepare models for substance painter 3D for a successful painting session. You will learn how to prepare your UV’s by grouping them together with materials. Naming materials for Texture Set Creation. Exporting your model, UV Layout, Maya Materials, Color ID creation for Substance Painter, Creating a new Substance Project, Baking Mesh Maps, Smart Materials.Chapter 02: Here is where I get you started with understanding the 3D Painting Pipeline by doing a clean version of the Robot Mech Vehicle. You will learn how to find materials on the cloud, apply and modify materials, mask using color ID’s, fix UV’s and re-import updated UV’s, create transparent materials, create emissive materials, post processing, create and apply graphics, apply dirt and grime using smart mask, apply rust leaks using decals, particle brushes.Chapter 03: This is where things start to get interesting! I’ll take through my workflow for creating Hard Surface Damaging simply by using alphas alone, and right inside of Substance Painter 3D. Lesson includes, Intro to HS Alphas, Using Alphas for creating damage, Creating Custom Alphas using Zbrush and Affinity Photo, Creating Procedural Surface Noise, Hand Painting Damage on Complete Mech Robot, Curve Brush for adding Welds, Baking Hard Surface Detailing into a Normal Map, Create Custom Normal Export Preset.Chapter 04: Custom Shader Creation. You will learn how to create a custom paint peel material that, every attribute of the material can be modified to increase or decrease the amount of erosion your heart desires. Base materials created include metal, dirt, grime, dust and rust. Paint Peel using procedural masking and hand painting techniques, paint staining, dust overlays, paint cracking, paint bubble, curled paint edges, rust leaks, anchor point creation, how to use anchor points for enhanced shader creation, create a smart material for later use.Chapter 05: Painting a Complete Damaged Mech Robot. Here is where everything we have been working on in the previous lesson comes together. In this chapter you will apply the paint peel material to all of the parts that have white paint, you will custom modify the paint peel to your desired look for each body part, apply other materials and modify them to match the overall look and feel of the character, create emissive materials, transparencies, decal rust leeks, anchor points to reveal paint peel through stickers and graphics, painting the model to completion.Chapter 06: Finalizing the model and rendering for your portfolio. Reaching the end of the paint you need to get everything out of Substance Painter and render it in your engine of choice. In this chapter I will give you an overview of how I setup my Unreal Engine Project for my productions and portfolio. You will learn, exporting textures, creating custom presets, rendering from substance painter, Unreal Engine Lighting overview, Material Overview, Sequencer.
