"Piano Musicianship 101" is meticulously crafted to ensure you come out as a well-rounded musician, equipping you with the foundational skills a typical university would expect from you before an entrance exam:- Reading Sheet Music Efficiently (being able to reproduce songs just by looking at a piece of paper without having heard said song before)- Relative Pitch (interval recognition, chord quality & inversions by ear)-Foundational Music Theory Knowledge: chord progressions, the circle of fifths, harmonic functions, musical forms, uncommon chord structures (i.e, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th chords and suspended chords, The Modes (Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian etc), and The Overtone Series-Piano Technique: proper posture, hand positioning, every scale within the circle of fifths, improvisation)And this course includes a practice plan ("Pathway to Musicianship") with links to exercises in order to practice those skills and knowledge. No worries, you will have assignments after almost every lesson. The same practice plan module includes guides on what to study further for a jazz/classical or sound design bachelor´s entrance exam. We aim to give you the best possible experience and we´re presenting every single one of those concepts in easy-to-understand, step-by-step explanations.
