Description
Each module in this course covers a core principle, delving deeply into the tasks and elements associated with it.By the end of this course, you will understand how teams gain possession of the ball, advance that ball towards the opponent’s scoring zone with support and continuity, exerting pressure through tactical and strategic movements, ultimately leading to scoring opportunities.Principle 1 – Possession: In this module, we will cover not only how to gain possession of the ball from set-piece plays but also how to maintain possession with effective passing, offloading, and quick ruck clear-outs to ensure the attack flows seamlessly.Principle 2 – Go-forward: In module two, we cover general play and attacking space, breaking the gain line, and constantly moving the ball towards the opposition’s try line.Principle 3 – Support: No player operates in isolation. Support means having teammates in optimal positions to receive a pass, securing a ruck, and working as a team. In this module, we cover effective support that creates options for the continued advancement of the ball towards the opponents’ try line.Principle 4 – Continuity: Module 4 covers the importance of maintaining possession through contact situations, such as tackles, rucks, or mauls.Principle 5 – Pressure: In an attack, maintaining pressure on the opposition is crucial. Pressure is essential in both attack and defence, and ultimately, about how to dominate an opponent in the contact area. And in Module 5, we will delve into this further.Principle 6 – Scoring: Scoring is about patience, discipline and adherence to the laws of the game. It’s about making intelligent decisions, avoiding penalties, and playing within the team structure, maintaining composure under pressure, and executing strategic and tactical plays effectively, which is covered in Module 6DISCLAIMERPlease note that certain parts of this course contains the use of artificial intelligence for voice generation and some images to enhance the learners experience.
