Elisabetta Canalis (born 12 September 1978 in Sassari, Sardinia) is an Italian model and actress. Canalis had minor roles in the films Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo and Virgin Territory. She was educated at a "Classical Lyceum" Italian school in Sassari, and then moved to Milan to attend university.
She was also a velina in the television show Striscia la notizia. In 2007, she hosted the annual music festival, Festivalbar.
In 2009, she co-hosted the Italian version of Total Request Live. In 2010, she played a recurring character in season 3 of the TNT series Leverage.
Since 2009, she has been in a relationship with George Clooney
On June 22, 2011, Clooney and Canalis released a statement to US Weekly saying "We are not together anymore…It's very difficult and very personal and we hope everyone can respect our privacy."
Elisabetta is an animal rights activist and collaborated with PETA's advert "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" in September 2011.
