The "Lady Full Of Dreams" title served double duty as the unofficial title of her second album, although neither of those records made it past the test-pressing stage. The song is a semi-auto biographical ode to the hopes and dreams Hamer harbored for her songs between 1976 and 1978. “Lady full of dreams / where you wanna go?” she asks, a crew of session players churning away sympathetically behind her. “I’ve got plans enough to fill a lifetime,” she sang, permanently encapsulating the “raw feeling and hope for a bigger life” that fueled her compositions back then.

Cathy would continue to earn her living musically, remaining active in the children’s music genre for three subsequent decades, as well as passing the tradition on in her family. “I loved watching each of my three kids find their own musical voice as they grew,” she said. “My oldest son gave Kate Bollinger a songwriting journal when she was nine, right before the two of us took a train to New York to visit him.” Aboard that train, Kate wrote her first lyrics in the journal, herself a lady full of dreams setting out into the world of song.
