In his new polyphonic folk songs, the songwriter combines hopeful hopes and mourning experiences, providing an opportunity to re-empathize, to regain one's self and regain courage.

Grief can be very lonely. Can not we talk about it? Can we do that? And with whom? Daniel Green gives reason to think about funeral culture and shows that death does not have to be the end. Feelings, gratitude and attachment remain even after the loss of friends or relatives. The songwriter philosophizes in eleven soulful songs about just the turmoil of our thoughts in mourning moments. He wonders what the way to the hereafter looks like, whether fear is necessary at all. What remains for him personally are these eleven Ankersongs. They connect Daniel Green himself with people who have shaped him.
