    Mit seiner scheinbar unendlichen Fähigkeit, Kompositionen von verführerischer Qualität zu schaffen, die oft in ein hypnotisierendes Arrangement gehüllt sind, das den gewaltigen Klangkonstruktionen von Phil Spector, Shadow Morton, Brian Wilson und Co. huldigt, verdient der alte New Yorker Polymath Marc Jonson ebenfalls den Status eines bekannten Namens.

    Jonson, der seit Mitte der sechziger Jahre Platten macht, gewährt mit seiner neuesten Longplay-Sammlung einen ganz besonderen Einblick in ein geheimes Versteck mit Aufnahmen, die er zwischen 1979 und 2012 in seiner winzigen Wohnung in der Cornelia St. im New Yorker Greenwich Village gemacht hat - in den Jahren, in denen wir dort leben (und überleben).
