On his new Album, pianist Martin Stadtfeld presents a personal selection of Beethoven piano pieces to coincide with the Beethoven year 2020. "My Beethoven" was originally created as a" supplement " to a children's radio play production. Out of the great joy of recording Beethoven's music arose the desire of all those involved in the production to hear the recorded music "unopposed" and standing alone. Intuitively, Martin Stadtfeld had probably chosen the works and individual pieces for the radio play, which Beethoven is particularly close to him.

He has recorded famous piano works by Beethoven, including a movement from the "Moonlight Sonata" and the "Pathétique", as well as his own Arrangements of Symphony movements ("Eroica" and "Pastorale"). The Album also contains Stadtfeld's own improvisations on Beethoven themes (fantasy about a sketch of Beethoven). Stadtfeld thus presents "his Beethoven" - the Beethoven he particularly loves: that of youth, of lightness, of clarity, of searching, of optimism, of introspection.
