    The ensemble "Vokalkapelle der Theatinerkirche in München" presents on this album a hitherto unknown mass "Missa Cantorum", the “Singer's Mass", which could only now be clearly assigned to the composer Orlando di Lasso by the musicologist Prof. Christian Leitmeir. A highly interesting stylistic and historical verse arises landscape of the well-known Missa Venatorum, the "Hunter's mass". The latter was replaced about 150 years later by the Munich Kapellmeister successor of Orlando di Lasso, Guiseppe A. Bernabei, in the Benedictus experienced a stylistically very sensitive addition of a third voice, which was additionally entered in the autograph – a further proof of the long-standing reception history of this fair after Lasso's death in Munich. The Missa Cantorum as well as the 3-part version of the Benedictus of the Missa Venatorum is a world premiere recording.
