Xenocide was formed in late 2008. With a new line-up and their début album "Galactic Oppression" release on 16 January 2012, this 5 piece from Vancouver Canada will spread their brutality and space-based themes fused with intense death metal to the masses and across all dimensions.

Tulus was one of the many black metal bands that have been pouring out of Norway in the last couple of decades. Formed around 1991, they released three albums in the late nineties, with a style firmly planted in black metal, in particular the vocals and the biting guitar riffing, with the songs usually more in the mid-paced realm rather than the speedier blast-beat sound of others. Tulus did little to stretch the boundaries of traditional Norwegian black metal, but within the confines of the genre they had a pretty effective and distinctive style. Following the breakup of the band two members formed a similarly-styled band, Khold.This is the bands fifth full length album and the second full length album after their 2006 reunion.

This double-disc German import covers Iggy's best tracks during his three-album tenure at Arista Records from 1979-1981. All three albums (New Values, Soldier, and Party) are currently unavailable in the U.S., and since this compilation is mid-priced, it's an affordable overview of his work from this era. His collaboration with Stooges guitarist James Williamson on the New Values album is heavily represented here…

One doesn't necessarily associate punk firebrands the Clash with the radio-ready likes of Third Eye Blind and No Doubt. But in the years since the demise of the Clash, their impact, once localized to the punk underground, has seeped up from the gutter they once championed. ("The truth," rasped Joe Strummer in one of his more memorable couplets, "is known only by guttersnipes.") Burning London affords a dozen-plus popular late-'90s performers the opportunity to tip their hats to the erstwhile scourges of the mainstream. The results, as is common with such tributes, are wildly mixed.
