Like so many female composers of bygone centuries, the music of Luise Adolpha Le Beau has been slow to come to light. She was a composer/pianist of the late 19th century who toured throughout Europe and associated with the top echelon of musicians, composers, and critics of her day. Very few of her chamber works have been re-published in the early 21st century, but not much else of her music, nor information about her or her oeuvre …….

The Beethoven piano trios have been at the hub of the Beaux Arts Trio’s repertoire throughout its long history.

Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986 was recorded at The Spectrum in Philadelphia on June 17, 1986 during the second leg of the “Sacred Heart” tour, which featured new guitarist Craig Goldy. The show was issued in an edited form first on VHS and then DVD. Now for the first time, the full concert is being released as a double LP in the original running order and with remastered sound. It’s an extraordinary live show with a giant animatronic dragon towering over the stage and spectacular laers and pyrotechnics. The line-up for the show is Ronnie James Dio (vocals); Vinny Appice (drums); Jimmy Bain (bass); Craig Goldy (guitar); Claude Schnell (keyboards). The show features the Dio classics “Holy Diver,” “Don’t Talk To Strangers,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Children,” “Sacred Heart,” “Stand Up And Shout,” “Rainbow In The Dark,” and “We Rock” plus other classic tracks from Ronnie James Dio’s career including “Heaven And Hell,” “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll,” and “Man On The Silver Mountain”.

The Black Dahlia Murder's sixth full-length album, Everblack, will be released worldwide in June 2013. The album art for Everblack was painted by renowned artist Nick Keller and recording was completed at Audiohammer Studios (lead guitars and vocals), Rustbelt Studios (drums), and Regal Fecal (guitar and bass). Mixing was handled by Jason Suecof and Ryan Williams, mastering was completed by Alan Douches at West Westside. Trevor Strnad's horror-inspired lyrics persist on Everblack, beginning with In Hell is Where She Waits for Me, a reference to the murder from which the band took for their moniker.

In the early 70's, legendary rock photographer Bob Gruen and his wife Nadya purchased a portable video recorder. In a period of two years they toured with Ike & Tina Turner and filmed them performing, on the road and behind the scenes. Now for the first time ever this footage is unveiled. From the hot lights of their unequaled stage show to tender moments crooning the blues with only the camera as their audience, this is a look inside a hardworking band as well as an iconic couple. With a career spanning more than half a century, Tina Turner has earned widespread recognition and numerous awards.

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina ElvisCostello and New Orleans musical great Allen Toussaint collaborated on "TheRiver In Reverse" and followed it with knockout performances at the GRAMMY Awards and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a month-long tour. The DVD "Hot as a Pistol, Keen as a Blade", captures that tour's scintillating concert in Montreal, Canada, spotlighting songsfrom the album as well as other Costello gems spanning four decades, from "Watching The Detectives" and "Pump It Up" to lesser-known songs, most ofthem given special arrangements by Toussaint.

The German violinist Tanja Becker-Bender burst onto the recording scene with a dazzling set of Paganini’s Caprices which thrilled the critics. She appears here in a second disc for Hyperion with her compatriot, Markus Becker, who has made two acclaimed recordings for the label. Erwin Schulhoff: jazz enthusiast, sometime Dadaist, surrealist and committed communist. These are some of the labels that spring to mind for this extraordinary figure, but Schulhoff was a more complex and wide-ranging musician than any neat tags suggest. This Prague-born prodigy had an intensive training rooted in the Austro-German tradition from before the age of ten, and later studied with Max Reger and Fritz Steinbacher. His music is impossible to pin down stylistically – even at a particular stage of his career. His music for violin is often outrageously virtuosic and never less than fascinating.

The Father, the Son and the Godfather is a snapshot of a time when composers were offered a tremendous freedom in their choices of genres and styles and features three composers who knew each other well: J.S. Bach (the father), C.P.E. Bach (the son) and Georg Philipp Telemann (CPE’s godfather). We thus get Johann Sebastian’s rigorous, intellectually demanding Sonata in B minor, ample examples of the elegant and tender Empfindsamer Stil of his son C.P.E., and in two Trio Sonatas a taste of Telemann’s ‘world music’.
