Astralasia - Wind On Water (2015)

CD of sought after vinyl pressing by an act not only known for their own music but also their association with big names like PORCUPINE TREE & HAWKWIND! In 2014 ASTRALASIA were approached by vinyl only label Fruits De Mer Records to produce an album of new music for a limited vinyl release. That album release gained great press reviews and radio play and quickly sold out, and is now currently unavailable!

Due to incredible demand & soaring prices on E-Bay of the now rare vinyl edition of: ‘Wind On The Water’, Magick Eye Records is now releasing this Digi-Pak CD Edition!

The ‘Wind On The Water’ CD consists of six tracks, some short and some long with an incredible mix of Space & Kraut-Rock combined with Ambient, Electro, Prog & Psychedelia.
The album also includes: ‘The Desert’, a track that has already been gaining interest from radio play and You Tube with it’s stunning, spaghetti western meets ’Mad Max’ feel.

The legendary ASTRALASIA continue to be innovators of euphoric Psychedelic Trance, Astral Dub, Experimental Ambience plus Progressive Psychedelic Rock. They have built a worldwide reputation through their releases to date and their incredible ‘live’ appearances at clubs & festivals such as Bearded Theory, Alchemy, Glastonbury, Whirl-Y-Gig, Womad etc., etc. They have also toured extensively outside the UK.

Based around legendary producer Swordfish and his co-traveller Buaku, the line-up now includes keyboard wiz Paul Chousmer from ANOTHER GREEN WORLD alongside famous graphic artist Peter Pracownik on guitar, plus excellent vocals from newest addition: Maria Szabo.
