"Trying to make a holiday record is so weird because it's seasonal," says the native New Yorker. "Doing Christmas jingles in August when sweat is rolling down your neck can be challenging, but after eight years of pulling music together, we finally came up with something that we hope speaks to the word 'classic', and something my audience can pull out every year and feel the music with a current type of sensibility.
