The Tiffany Transcriptions are generally recognized as the greatest and rarest recordings by the King of Western Swing, Bob Wills. Originally intended for radio airplay only, and distributed on Transcription Discs, less than half of the songs Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys recorded for Tiffany Music have ever been issued in any format. The missing and unissued Tiffany Recordings were recently discovered in the Warner Music vault. This new 2-CD set includes 50 songs that have never been reissued in any format. 20 of the 50 songs have never been released before, not even on transcription discs. Taken from original tapes and mastered by Bob Fisher to preserve vintage sonic vibrancy, whilst eliminating excess surface noise. Deluxe packaging in DVD digipak format. Liner notes by western swing expert, Cary Ginell features quotes from members of The Playboys and a foreword by co-producer Mike Johnson, who discovered the tapes. The complete Tiffany transcriptions discography includes vintage photos and memorabilia from the collection of Kaleidoscope Records co-founder, Tom Diamant. Features Wills and his great band of Tommy Duncan, Junior Barnard, Herb Remington, Eldon Shamblin, Joe Holley, Millard Kelso, Tiny Moore, Ocie Stockard, Billy Jack Wills and others. Some of the most important - and joyous - recordings in the history of American popular music.
