Tango is Charly García's first studio album with Argentine musician Pedro Aznar. Tango was captured as a maxi-single, as its six tracks exceeded the number of tracks for a single, but fell short of the full-length. The album was recorded at Secret Society and Unique Recording Studios in New York, United States, in December 1985, and mastered at Sterling Sound by Ted Jensen. All instruments were played by Charly García and Pedro Aznar.
