Elise Estrada - #ROUND3 (2014)

Summer just got a whole lot better thanks to this wonderful release from Vancouver’s Elise Estrada. #Round3 is her third studio album and is a celebration of girl power. Elise is a JUNO-nominated singer-songwriter who has landed eight songs on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. That’s as many as Celine Dion and Simple Plan. Round 3 continues her expertise in delivering exuberant R&B/pop treasures filled with rhythmic fun, urban beats, and enticing teases.
The album opens with summer anthem “Champion” followed by current radio hit “Over & Out” which includes a sample of New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle”. One of the album’s standout tracks is ballad “The Good in Goodbye” which Elise has stated is her favourite. #Round3 contains previously released “U Don’t Need to Know” and “Piece of Me” both an absolute blast. And to top things off, Elise Estrada has a side to her that’s drenched in heartfelt sincerity, as the album closes with two tear-jerkers. “Wonder Woman” is dedicated to Amanda Todd, a Metro Vancouver youth victimized by cyber bullying who committed suicide. “All It Takes Is a Moment” devotes attention to super typhoon Haiyan that took thousands of lives and left millions homeless.
