Displaced is the long awaited debut album by Elizabeth Cornish. The 11-track album is a collection of songs written over 6 years and touches on themes of transition, growth, overcoming barriers and moving on. The album is in many ways the culmination of Elizabeth’s nomadic upbringing, having been written while packing and unpacking boxes, saying goodbye to friends and family and an array of different sceneries. Displaced captures feelings of anguish, being torn between place after place and the loss of leaving people behind. Yet despite this, the warmth of hope and reassurance run throughout.
