Faun - Midgard (2016)

With "Midgard" there are 2016 new album of German Pagan-folk combo Faun. The now ninth album of the septet appears only two years after the "Luna", with which it ended up in fourth place in the German album charts.

That leaves a lot of "Midgard" expect. Of course Faun remain their style it faithfully, they designate themselves as Pagan-folk. Thematically, the band moved now but in the Nordic-Scandinavian culture.

Eleven new songs composed and recorded for Faun, from melancholic ballads to joyous Midsummer dances. meet mystical soundscapes as mysteriously stories. They sing from the beginning of autumn, from Alswinn heaven Ross or Odin, the father of the gods in Norse mythology. For the latter topic, the band even brought professional support. The Norwegian Wardruna whom one knows, for example, from the soundtrack of the series "Vikings", support Faun in the song "Odin". And also otherwise Faun for "Midgard" have invited some guest musicians.

In addition to the standard CD "Midgard" is also available as a Limited Edition Deluxe. This includes, in addition to album tracks four more songs.
