Battle Maximus is the upcoming thirteenth studio album by Gwar. The album is scheduled to be released on September 17, 2013 through Metal Blade Records. The album will be the first to feature new guitarist Brent Purgason (of Cannabis Corpse), portraying the new character Pustulus Maximus. It will also be the first album to feature new bassist Jamison Land, as longtime character Beefcake the Mighty.
