'Foreign Landscapes' is Hauschka's third album for Fat Cat Records' post classical label 130107. While Hauschka's previous work was mainly piano based, this time around Volker Bertelmann has enlisted the help of the Magik Magik Orchestra to realise his musical vision after he started writing for strings, clarinets and trombones in 2008. The album's song titles take their names from real locations around the world, with each track being inspired by Bertelmann's own travellingexperiences.
