Imogen Heap began the project for her fourth album, Sparks, in 2011 and this record collates all of the singles that were created during 2011-2014. Each song uses a different concept, and includes contributions from Indian music duo Vishal-Shekhar and dance producer deadmau5. Utilizing her fans, Heap requested them to send "sound seeds," which she subsequently repurposed to create the dynamic single "Lifeline," while 3-D audio effects were used on "Propeller Seeds."
