Released in February 1970 on small Lizard label, the sole album of that forgotten US band contained a brilliant, heavy rock music with some blues influences dominated by loud guitars, dirty vocals and pounding rhythm section. Of the eleven tracks that make up the album, eight were originals and three were great covers, including a brutal rendition of Tobacco Road and very heavy version of ]umpin' Jack Flash. This exceptionally well-produced record has much to recommend it, particularly to fans of Frantic, Steppenwolf, Euclid and Yesterday's Children. In late 1971 reformed line-up recorded the second album, which remains unreleased. This CD has been carefully remastered from the original, analogue source.

================================================================================

Killer late '60s US heavy hippy rock album with a touch of blues and a down-and-wasted vibe issued in 1970. Named after a small town outside of San Diego. Great guitar throughout with a superb version of Tobacco Road, plus loads of originals. The band were involved with Steppenwolf's management and the sound is similar to the early years of that band as well as other heavy acid rock bands such as Yesterday's Children, Euclid, and, label mates, Frantic; not to mention they were also produced by Steppenwolf producer Richard Podolor and recorded this at his family owned studio, American Recording. Great album and worth checking out. The band broke up in 1971, but soon after reformed with a different lineup that recorded a second album that remains unissued.
