This is the debut album by Louisville jazz greats, the Java Men. Often playing in coffee houses, hence their moniker, these musicians entertained Louisvillians for years and members have been lauded for their virtuosity. They have individually played with the likes of King Kong and Days of the New. This first album has some great organ jazz and fine guitar pieces that should give one a spectrum of their accomplishments. Highlights include the joyous Cellophane Mary and the angular, fun, Chaz Haz Imploded.
