Mario Pecoraro, the piano player and singer was born in Bludenz in 1978. He is strongly characterized by his Italian roots. At the age of 15, Mario enrols as the youngest full student at the University of Music and Representational Art, to study classical drums. His increasing love for jazz and Latin American music brings him to his secret love, the piano. After radically switching to the program of Jazz and Pop Piano, he is selected among numerous applicants for a one-year scholarship at the University of Miami, School of Music. After a very successful year of studies there, the School of Music offers him a full scholarship. Impressions and experiences in the United States are formative for Mario Pecoraro and deeply change his musical creativity. Back in Austria, he graduates with distinction, and embarks on a career as piano player for The Rounder Girls from late 2003. During this time he also becomes aware of his own path as a solo artist and sets about the purposive preoccupation with his own songs. In the summer of 2008, Mario Pecoraro begins an intense cooperation with the American lyricist Art Reade, who uses a very special talent for vivid language, rich with images based on spiritual roots. This becomes a major inspiration for the singer/piano player, and a unique work of art is born: his new album: “In the World of Art.”. In his own words: "It all started out when Art came up with a poem for one of his seminars that I was attending. It took me quite a while to convince him that it might be a good idea to write a song about this topic. When he finally took the risk, we could not stop anymore! The bigger our friendship grew, the more songs evolved out of our conversations and ideas for this spiritual world. Vienna - Arizona was a very big challenge to begin with. But the even bigger challenge for us turned out to be the impact of the themes that we wanted to cover with this album. They were all connected to a continual process of personal growth and development for me as a singer/composer and Art as a lyricist. The great power and emotions utilized in Art's picturesque and down-to-earth lyrics, forced me to write clear and focused songs, to reveal their true meaning and depths....
