The second Miss Behaviour-record is no older than three years but trouble with the old label made it quite hard to get hold of it. Two well-crafted bonus cuts, that originate from the very session, but were recorded shortly afterwards with the new line-up, round off approximately an hour of melodic fireworks. Miss Behaviour let the eighties come alive again, but manage not to sound old-fashioned. The fast "Cynthia", the ballad-like "Till We Meet Again" and at least a handful other tracks would most likely have been hits back in the days. Pure AOR - mighty keyboards all over the place, massive choirs and fantastic hook lines make this album a blueprint-record of the genre. Whereas the guitars nevertheless definitely play a major role. A guest solo by former Helloween-guitarist Roland Grapow (Unisonic) should be mentioned as well. This record deserves attention! No matter what! An upcoming classic.~ aorheaven.com
Swedish Glam metal/AOR band "Miss Behaviour" have returned with their brand new album "Last Woman Standing", issued by Avenue of Allies records. "Miss Behaviour" features guitarist Erik Heinke, keyboardist Henrik Sproge drummer Anders Berlin and lead singer/bassist Sebastian Roos of "Shineth".
"Miss Behaviour" combines the flashy attitude of glam metal with the infectious harmonies and choruses of AOR brought forward by essential production with all instruments coming through clearly, but emphasizing on the melodic aspects of the songwriting. The sound of "Miss Behaviour" is built on melodic guitar attack, ever-present keyboards plus sweet-sugary vocal harmonies which make for unforgettable choruses.
Songs like "Taking Hostage", "Emergency" and "Cynthia" easily top the list of the year's most infectious melodic rockers. "Perfect War" is a glam metal opus at its own right, delivering an amazing guitar/keyboard intro and really powerful rhythm section; never forgetting the opening song "1988", a defiant melodic rocker that summarizes the band's vision in the line "We are defenders of a dream, we break the silence and go back in time-eighty eight". "Miss Behaviour" clearly set themselves apart from most contemporary melodic acts thanks to their captivating arrangements; you will probably find yourself playing the album over and over, humming its melodies at any time of the day and looking forward to the next time you push play on your stereo.
