Oingo Boingo - Farewell: Live from the Universal Amphitheatre (1995)

While he's best-known as one of Hollywood's busiest film composers, between 1977 and 1995 Danny Elfman was also the leader of the rock band Oingo Boingo, who blended angular new wave melodic structures with a punchy horn section and came up with a truly unique sound in the process. While they were wildly popular in their hometown of Los Angeles, the group never achieved real stardom nationwide, but this DVD preserves the band's epic final stand before a packed house at L.A.'s Universal Amphitheater in 1995. Disc one features the group's three-hour farewell concert, transferred in full frame with Dolby Digital Stereo sound. Disc two features bonus material, including a documentary on the history of the band (including retrospective footage from throughout their career), as well as music videos for two tunes, "Little Girls" and "Insanity."
