It's amazing that the fantastic popularity in our country e-Software team solo work its lead actor Peter Mergener much less known. And it was Mergener was the author and performer of songs Software - the second team member Michael Weisser is only responsible for overall project management and design.
Disorder in conjunction Weisser-Mergener began in the early '90s - that this time the first solo album by Peter. On the one hand, Mergener felt that their creative imagination through Software does not succeed, but on the other it seems offended that his bandmate (soon to become the full owner of the label Innovative Communication), always "pulls the blanket" themselves.
Whatever it was, since the mid-90s Mergener cooperates with the Software only on a case by case, and his place in the team is invited composers guests, one of which, incidentally, was the founder of IC Klaus Schulze. Peter himself had moved under the wing of another independent firm specializing in electronic music - CUE, which happened most of his later works.
The style of solo albums Mergener somewhat different from the usual for us to sound Software. Their dipapazon extends from the soft electronic New Age (Creatures) until stiff rhythm (PCM). However, the theme of nature, ecology, respect for the world around occupies perhaps the most important place in the majority of studies Mergener - including the last, saturated African rhythms disk African Smile.
Of course, Peter Mergener not be called "a hit" commercially successful musician, although almost all of his albums have received a good response from the press, and his services as founder Software has long ensured him a place of honor on the Olympus electronic music. But this does not mean that the solo work Mergener little interest - on the contrary, fans of electronic music will be pleasantly amazed at what discoveries and melodic harmony lie on his albums …
