Quasamodo & The Q Orchestra - The Big Picture (2014)

Following on from his debut EP on Jalapeno last year, Quasamodo (now accompanied by his Q Orchestra) is back with his first album for Jalapeno - The Big Picture.
Featuring the soulful vocals of long time vocal collaborator Thaliah and with Q himself providing the authentic production flourishes and occasional raps, the album is a full on feast of funk and a throwback to early Jalapeno days when the j-funk was a little more strictly defined.
Hailing from Greece – Quasamodo is no newcomer to the scene having previously released an album on esteemed label Freestyle as well as partnering with Basement Freaks for an album project under the name Smokey Bandits on Bombastic Jam.
Although he's previously dropped albums for the likes of Freestyle, "Big Picture" cements the new bond between Quasamodo and Jalapeno following a tester EP release last year. Boosted by the positive reaction to the EP, he's back and he's got both the Q Orchestra and long time vocal collaborator Thaliah covering his back. It's an explosive team, delivering 13 old school funk bombs, some of which are even peppered by the occasional rap!
