Renee Geyer is one of Australia's true musical treasures and to celebrate her 40th year in the music business she has delivered what can only be termed as her ultimate triumph on record.
The album is packed with wonderful standards from the Sinatra classic Fly Me To The Moon, the Chet Baker classic My Funny Valentine, the Gershwin classic I Got Rhythm done in a wonderful wild way, the Bernstein West Side Story classic Somewhere delivered in a Aretha Franklin style performance, to the opening track Baby Please Don't Go is a classic Blues song for the 1930s which wows the listener and reminds us just how fantastic Geyer is a great interpreter of songs.
