By 1975, Rod Stewart's solo career had blossomed so well that it was inevitable that he would depart Faces for greener pastures to build on his personal success. As the band grew apart and the inevitable apparent, the group toured the world in 1975 on their Farewell Tour. This disc captures a key moment of rock history When the British Blues Rock scene lost it's final superstar band. The onstage chemistry of these musicians was simply a magical good time for all and provided some of the most memorable moments in rock history. Includes a special guest appearance by Ron Wood's future bandmate Keith Richards!

The Faces were one of the hardest partying rock bands of all time, and instead of keeping all the fun to themselves behind closed doors, they would often take it to the stage and share it with their fans. Both loose yet rocking, the Faces opted to bow out at their peak in 1975 (although it's debatable whether the split was planned or not, some figure Ron Wood leaving for the Rolling Stones sped up the process), when they were still at the top of their party-hearty game. As the title says it captures their last concert ever, in front of an adoring throng in London, circa 1974. Joining Stewart and Wood on stage are longtime members Kenny Jones (drums) and Ian McLagan (keyboards), as well as newcomer Tetsu Yamauchi on bass, who rock their way through 12 tracks. Tops include "It's All Over Now," a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Angel," plus a pair of concert-closing early Stewart solo hits, "You Wear It Well" and "Maggie May," the latter of which features a spirited sing-along with the audience. In addition, there's a jam session with Keith Richards on a fun rendition of "Twistin' the Night Away." Although the picture is obviously not exactly crystal clear (which is understandable, due to the age of the show), Final Concert is still a worthy document of the last Faces performance.
