Baltimore's own "piano girl" Ruut, returns with a soul-stirring and uplifting album, "untold Stories", a collaboration with DC String Quartet, Invoke. Recording in both LA and Maryland, her 6th independent, self produced, fan funded album fits comfortably within the folk and acoustic genres, while Invoke’s organic string arrangements push it gently into the Americana realm, with a nod towards classical. Drawing inspiration from her Finnish Nordic background, Ruut returned to organic instruments while recording "Untold Stories". It is an evocative and sometimes hauntingly bare collection of truthful moments, both in lyric and sound.
