Shallow Ground was originally formed in the year 1994, went on hiatus after a couple of years, reformed in 2009, self-released a self-titled five track EP in 2010, signed with the German Killer Metal Records label, just released their 'The End Of Everything' CD and the line-up consists of Keith Letourneu (vocals / guitars), Tim Smith (guitars), Nick Ziembicki (bass) and Kurt Ragis (drums). This was just a brief biography from this nice thrash metal band from Conneticut / U.S.A., so let's talk music now!The CD contains 11 tracks and has a playing time of about 60 minutes. It's obvious to me that Shallow Ground are a talented band. Of course they are relatively newcomers to the scene but these are no fifteen year olds that just started to explore their instruments. These guys are skilled musicians! Their thrash metal is certainly well arranged and the song structures are great. A lot of interesting riffs and grooves do exist on 'The End Of Everything'. Shallow Ground will be highly appreciated by fans of Flotsam And Jetsam, Heathen, Bloodlust and Hirax, so those who adore their U.S. thrash metal old, nasty and violent should definitely check out this great band!
