In a vast desert of seemingly mediocre, corporate cookie-cutter music, Sherri Robbins new release “Good ‘n Plenty” is like a shining oasis of fun, yet introspective tunes. All but one (“Rising Sun Blues”) is penned by Ms. Robbins. Every song on this disc carries its own weight, and each one is wonderfully different from the song before. It is nearly impossible to label this disc with a genre. The only constant throughout it would be “GROOVE”… and this disc does groove! These songs are wonderfully thought out, and nicely produced.
