Shirley Kent - Faded and Torn (2015)

The photo above is my Dublin born Grandmother Bridget. The photo taken in 1925 in China. She was there with my Grandfather who was there working as a Customs Officer. When I was her age I was the image of her. I didn't see this photograph however until I was sixty five. It is a long story and I am writing a book about it all. That won't be ready possibly until late next year. The songs on this album are reflect parts of my history. They are all about love in all its many colours. Even the muse songs 'Train Coming' 'Sunny Day' 'Beautiful Autumn'. Mainly acoustic and not over 'Technofide' they are in the raw. Often just a microphone me and guitar. 'Mother and Child' was just overdub for harmony. Simplicity is my music canvas.
