A treasure trove of hard soul – from one of the greatest lost bands of the 60s! Soul Brother 6 are probably best known for their minor hit "Some Kind Of Wonderful", which was issued by Atlantic as a 45 in 1967 – but this set shows the band in a completely different vein, mixing heavier funk and harder soul into a killer Funkadelphia sound, originally issued by the Phil-La Of Soul label back in the early 70s. Those recordings have always been some of the hardest to come by on the label – and the bulk of them are finally brought back to light on this excellent 18 track CD.
