A beautiful warm late summer night it was when five musicians started one of their most remarkable outdoor concerts in the City of Berlin. To protect the local bats the band had to accept a curfew by 10 pm which was rather sad, because they had a lot more on their playlist. But nevertheless it has been a breathtaking event for those who could attend. On this DVD you will see the whole show and some extras behind the scenes, some with a laugh and some with an ironic attitude. So enjoy a warm summer night’s show!

The headline of the concert is serious, because this old 16th-century citadel in Berlin Spandau, "Zitadelle Spandau" in German, is the home of thousands of bats – one of the largest communities of these creatures in Europe. Within the very old walls and niches of the buildings they live a very WWF protected life. Below you see the concert poster, an aerial view of the place surrounded by the river Havel, and photos of some modelling bats. Check the thumb of that person, I think I can see the marks where the bat has bitten him/her – it looks as if they could protect themselves.
