Trisha Yearwood - Ballads (2013)

Where Your Road Leads is Trisha's seventh release on MCA-Nashville, and in my opinion one of her best. The album contains a majority of ballads, however there are some up-tempo songs as well, all easy on the ears. It's easy to see how she received the distinction of being the current Queen of Country Music.

The title isn't one that Yearwood is comfortable with. However it is well earned as she's won the Triple Crown, receiving the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, the ACM Top Female Vocalist, and the Grammy for Best Female Vocalist.

This marks her first time co-producing her own work, and she's done an excellent job along with MCA President, Tony Brown.

Of all the songs on the album, my favorite would have to be "Heart Like A Sad Song." Before buying the CD myself, I heard Trisha sing this on Prime Time Country, backed up by Garth Brooks on guitar. The song was one of the main reasons I decided to purchase the CD.
