Dub emerged in Jamaica in the late 1960s. Initially it was just a form of reggae music remix, in which he withdrew most of the vocals and valued the bass and drums.
Often also included sound effects like gunshots, animal sounds, police sirens, etc.. Its foundations were subsequently used in all styles of modern electronic music,
including rap, which was directly linked to its creation as Jamaican Dub migrated to the U.S. and spread the technique. In Dub the "improvisational" (freestylers rap)
are called "toasters", the "rimadores" (rappers in rap) are called "DJ" and the DJ (Disc Jockey in rap) are called "selectors" or "the select" "selectors" in Brazil.
