York are German dance music, record producer, and DJ brothers Torsten and Jorg Stenzel.
Both brothers were involved heavily in music in their youths and Torsten had some chart success in his home country and the low countries.
In 1998 the brothers teamed up to form York.
Their second single On The Beach/Reachers of Civilisation (the former, sampling Chris Rea's On The Beach) was their biggest hit,
making #4 in June 2000 and selling 200,000 copies.
