With a view to Cecilia Bartoli’s latest release, it may be interesting to explore the composer she chose to advocate a little bit further. Here an opera of Steffani’s hand which you will not easily find: Enrico Leone, or Heinrich der Löwe, cousin to 12th Century German Emperor Barbarossa.
Note: this cd was not to be found in the freedb.org database, so I had to name the tracks manually. These names were very long, therefore I shortened them for your and my convenience. The booklet will tell you more about the subdivision of the tracks into arias and recititavos.
