And what a fantastic sound !
Cafe Zimmermann has always attracted since its inception. This third album devoted to JS Bach has not received high praise from some commentators trendy magazines. On the contrary! And I still wonder why …
BWV 1049, which opens this delightful program, is flame, carried by the bow conqueror, but always fair, Pablo Valetti. The spirit of Bach is perfectly rendered here . It will not make me still not believing that Bach wrote this concerto in a knee took God !
The oboe d'amore concerto in D major (it is actually a reconstruction from the concerto for harpsichord BWV 1053), is interpreted skilfully P. Beauregard . Firmly supported by a large orchestra verve , the soloist delivers a rousing performance , inspired , beautiful, with a " siciliano us touch your heart. The concerto , in particular , has no equal in the discography (at least in mine …)
The concerto for three harpsichords in C major plot at the first listen. But once broken ear to this very special sound of the harpsichord, the music-loving audiophile enters a world apart . That is what is unique about this program atypical: we each work refers in a different world is mysterious, fiery , smooth , colorful and close, while jitter . Yes , the " jest " that closes the Suite in B minor BVW 1067 has enough to dance . What rhythm! What passion ! What a moment of pure pleasure ! The joy of musicians playing together is definitely contagious.
A recital colorful conducive to moments of pure elation. My favorite three albums to date.
