This is the fantastic debut album from Blackburn’s finest ‘The Burn’. The first track ‘Calling all’ is a rallying cry that really jumps out at you and shows just how enthusiastic and hungry these lads are. Fight the Fire is pretty much in the same vein with the same band of acoustic/electric guitars all battling for a piece of the action. The style then slows a little and we see a more chilled out melodic side to the band. Songs like ‘Big blue sky’ and ‘Enlightening’, can only be described as complete works of art. They are so well polished and tight that you’d be surprised to hear that they come from a relatively new band. The last track on the album is an instrumental, which is sometimes used as an introduction when The Burn take to the main stage. This piece is so powerful that it even silenced a huge crowd of drunken hecklers during one of the bands early supporting gigs. A true masterpiece that sounds amazing when you first hear it, and then grows and grows. I definitely recommend that you buy this. A++!
Sally O'Mattress is a great rock album. Think of the best music from the Liverpool & Manchester bands rolled into one great album. There's great rock tracks and suberb acoustic love songs. If you only get one album this year make sure this is the one, as The Burn are going to be huge by the end of the year. reviews@amazon
