The sixth album of the "barefoot diva" and her second recorded for northamerican audiences (after the self-titled of 1995). While the music is considerably more upbeat than that on her previous albums, the lyrics remain melancholic and nostalgic. Evora sing her world-famous mornas, bringing to light the fact that much of the youth of her native land of Cape Verde has emigrated, leaving the remaining population with an incurable nostalgia.
