Charlotte Wassy - Niam (2013)

Charlotte Wassy presents his debut album "NIAM"understand "sun", his nickname in the Cameroonian dialect of his father. Daughter of the famous drummer and percussionist Brice Wassy (Sakif Keita, Manu Dibango), Cyarlotte, lulled by the traditional rhythms of Cameroon and also appropriates sharing this beautiful and sublime heritage. Asking some questions, rather it leaves the spring rumbling rhythms and melodies in it, fusing ethnic sounds and jazz sounds. She describes her music as "Jazz Metisse In-stinctive". Instinctive because it prefers the instinctual approach to solfeqique approach. The music she saw and felt as obvious. Along the way, sye also studied dance. And more specifically, the Jazz dance. Then she most recently interested in Cuban dance. She says, "Music is my love, dance is my love." A successful and promising debut for an artist who has not heard the last.
