Primo tempo è il primo greatest hits nella carriera di Luciano Ligabue. Contiene i 16 brani considerati di maggior successo pubblicati tra il 1990 (Ligabue) e il 1995 (Buon compleanno Elvis). Sono presenti, inoltre, due inediti prodotti con Corrado Rustici e registrati nei Plant Sudio di Sausalito.
Per il restauro delle tracce audio, Ligabue è ricorso alla masterizzazione di Ted Jensen, considerato tra i migliori tecnici di mastering al mondo. Fino al novembre 2009 la raccolta ha venduto 470.000 copie.

Primo Tempo is the first greatest hits album in the career of Luciano Ligabue.
Contains 16 tracks considered the most successful published between 1990 (Ligabue) and 1995 (Buon Compleanno Elvis). There are also two new products with Corrado Rustici and registered in Sudio Plant in Sausalito.
For the restoration of the audio tracks, Ligabue is used to burn by Ted Jensen, considered one of the best mastering engineers in the world. Until November 2009, the album has sold 470,000 copies.
Luciano Ligabue (born March 13, 1960), more commonly known as Ligabue or Liga, is an Italian rock singer-songwriter, film director and writer.
Ligabue was born in Correggio, in the province of Reggio Emilia (Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy). Before becoming a successful singer, he held various jobs, working in agriculture and in factories. He entered the music world in 1987, when he founded the amateur band Orazero. For this band he wrote several original songs, with which they participated in several local and national contests. The following year his fellow Emilian singer-songwriter Pierangelo Bertoli was the first to discover Ligabue's writing talents, and included one of Ligabue's songs, "Sogni di Rock'n'Roll" ("Dreams of rock n roll"), in his new LP.
