The Fumes - Knock Out The Axis

This is NOT the Sydney based duo with the same band-name but Spokane's "Dragster Punk Originators".

    ***

Spokane's Fumes belt out fucked up punk. This debut is definitely raw enough to annoy any evil neighbor at any time of the day or night.

    BIO:

The world famous Fumes started out in 1989 in a garage on Spokane’s South Hill, a real stinky Garage so the naming of the band was as simple as the smell and the Fumes were born. Since those early days the Fumes have gone on to huge and thrilling heights. They were deemed the Dragster punk originators playing punk rock and roll at warp speeds and created a new brand of music that a whole host of others picked up on and kept the music pumping since. Fumes music is currently on Empty Records out of Portland Or. (famous 90’s Seattle Label) and can also be found on Scooch Pooch.

The Fumes have played with an amazing list of bands that is numbing to think about: Rev. Hortant Heat, Supersuckers, Mudhoney, Deftones, the Derelicts, Rocket from the Crypt, At the Drive In, The Meanies, Christ on a Crutch, Bloodloss, Bad Brains, The Offspring, The Gits, Gas Huffer, Zeke, Gutter Mouth, REO Speed Dealer, The Motards, Steel Wool, Sicko, Moral Crux, Zip Gun, Von Zippers, Cosmic Psychos, Poison Idea, Coffin Break, Sinister Six, New Bomb Turks, The Smugglers, AFI, Girl Trouble, DOA, No Means No, Jack Knife, the Humpers, Seaweed.

The Fumes: Rob and Norm were playing in the Blowouts, Dee is hanging loose and had been playing in DFA. Gus passed away this last spring 2006 and we will miss him dearly. Joining the Fumes Bill Gibbs on drums (Bill has played with Mang, Big Comb just to also name a few)also currently plays in Lalah's Drink and the Foxy Sluts. –-myspace-com-thefumes
