It is unfathomable that a composer who could write symphonies like this, and who has justly been compared to his Russian contemporaries Prokofiev and Shostakovich, should have been neglected to such an extent as George Antheil. It is time to read a biography of this gifted musician; as is evident from the aforelying post, he knew his business so well…what on earth happened that his achievements met with such scorn in his home country?
