    2009 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Franz Joseph Haydn. The past few years have given musicians and music-lovers a chance to reassess a compositional genius who has been eclipsed by the likes of Mozart and Beethoven for far too long. To further that cause, harmonia mundi celebrates Haydn's astounding musical achievements with The Haydn Edition - a new, specially-priced series that will include both reissues and new releases.
