Jen Brown - Realities (2015)

A singer does with their songs on the way. With her voice and piano they want to color the world pink. In the luggage she has a cellist, a bassist and a drummer. With them they reflected the world in sounds and words, creating new worlds in their favorite colors. Inspired by the constant change of their surroundings, somewhere between gray industrial landscapes of their homeland and the canals of Holland, where she studied music, the debut album "Realities" was born. To hear it, there are poetic texts, embedded in small and big songs, partly orchestral, partly arranged minimalist, somewhere between melancholy and departure, furious and latching, seeking and finding. Audible, catchy pop with a touch of jazz, classical and world music, permeated by constant breaks and unconventional surprises. The four musicians whose home not only in musical terms is respectively at different locations merge into their music to a place with many realities.
